Dr J.W. Niemeijer (1927 – 2021), former director of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.
The painting was also attributed in 2020 as “probably by Jan van Huchtenburgh” by the famous connoisseurs of 16th century Dutch Masters, Hoogsteder & Hoogsteder in The Hague, Holland
